Burnley’s Championship season continued with a four-nil win over Bristol City at Turf Moor on Monday.
2015 ended with Burnley recording a comfortable win to end the year in fifth place as a first half brace from Andre Gray, the first when he got went through from half way, had Burnley in control at the break.
Scott Arfield, put in by Sam Vokes, made it three (and assured the points) 20-minutes from time with Gray wrapping up his hat-trick 12-minutes from time when Matthew Lowton provided the cross for the fourth.
Vokes and Joey Barton also struck the woodwork as the Clarets dominated the first half before the breakthrough finally came.

Some interesting results (so far) with these the probable stand out ones.
An impressive win for Bolton saw their troubles put to one side for a little while as they won a Lancashire derby with Blackburn one-nil at the Macron Stadium with (who were meant to be the Rovers opponents on Boxing Day before this was called off) Middlesbrough ending the year top of the Championship table with a one-nil win over Sheffield Wednesday at the Riverside Stadium.
Hull (who beat Burnley convincingly on Boxing Day) slumped to another disappointing defeat losing one-nil at Deepdale against Preston.
A play-off push remains very much in the sights of Brentford with the Bees ending the year with a two-one win at Reading.
