Burnley have only 3 points left to play for in this year’s battle for the Championship title.

Middlesbrough’s draw against Birmingham on Friday was matched by Brighton taking a point from Derby County in Monday’s clash.

Burnley beat Queens Park Rangers one nil to secure their own automatic promotion spot, so it now means irrespective of the Middlesbrough v Brighton clash, Burnley are back in the Premier League at the first time of asking and now all we need are three points to ensure we go back to the top flight with the Championship title trophy under our belts.

Burnley:
Charlton May 7 A

Middlesbrough:
Brighton May 7 H

Brighton:
Middlesbrough May 7 A

With only one game left in the 2015-16 season, it’s now crunch time.

The top three battle has already seen plenty of twists and turns and no doubt there will be a few more before the end of the season, so all eyes to the next fixtures.

With automatic promotion secured, and if Boro and Brighton draw – a draw for us being enough for the title – I doubt very much anybody in the dressing room will be settling for a point when three points makes it unequivocal.
