Burnley boss Steve Cotterill has expressed the need for more points to be won on the road, following Wednesday’s defeat to a rejuvenated Norwich.
The Clarets were outplayed in the first half at Carrow Road and went in at the break with a 2-0 deficit. The second half showed a marked improvement, and they were perhaps unlucky to only have a deflected John Harley strike to show for their efforts.
Burnley have now taken only one point from their last four away games, although their home form is very strong at the moment.
‘We need to pick up a few more points away from home at the moment, because there’s nothing wrong with our home form and we don’t envisage that changing,’ said Cotterill.
Burnley entertain Sheffield Wednesday on New Years Eve, in an early kick off at 1.00pm looking to make it seven home wins in a row to end the year.
