Midfielder Joey Barton has hinted in a series of tweets that he has accepted terms with Scottish side Rangers.
With an offer on the table from Burnley following our promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking, Rangers courted Barton and it seems our 33 year old Player of the Year couldn’t resist the pull.
Ignoring the more bizarre set of tweets, he sent this yesterday.
Tough decision but it’s now made. Onwards and upwards from here. #Rollupandspendyourlastdime

And late last night/this morning the press have been all over it, saying he will be in Glasgow later today to pen terms on a two year deal with the newly promoted Premiership side following the known talks he had with them the other week.
Having played such a key role in promotion, no doubt manager Sean Dyche already has plans to replace him as no doubt he would’ve known which way Barton may have been erring once their interest was known.
