First credited with an interest in signing him in January, Burnley are reportedly back in the race to sign Hull’s Andrew Robertson this summer, strongly linked with Liverpool.

According to Daily Mirror, Sean Dyche sees the Scot as an ideal player to boost the Burnley squad and improve the left back options as the Clarets bid to consolidate a Premier League position after survival last season.

Burnley’s reported £10m bid for the Scottish international was spurned during the winter window as Hull weren’t prepared to offload Robertson as the fought to avoid relegation, a battle they’ll lost.

Robertson, 23, isn’t thought to be in a hurry to resolve his future at the KCOM Stadium but the attack minded full back, impressive since joining Hull from Dundee United and very much proven as a Premier League footballer now, wouldn’t be expected to remain with the Championship side.

The chance to join a club like Liverpool isn’t something many would turn down but Robertson would most likely have more first team opportunities at Turf Moor.
