The Clarets are now unbeaten in 5 matches and will be looking for another three points to continue their run of form and move up the table. They are currently 16th on 52 points and with 9 maximum points left in their last three remaining games will be wanting to finish the season on a high and better last season’s 13th place and 60 points.

They take on Crystal Palace this Easter Monday at Turf Moor. The main question is whether Palace already assured of the play-offs will rest players and make our task any easier! Danny Butterfield is still unfit after recovering from a pelvis injury and there are doubts about Popovic,Riihilahti,Hall and McAnuff. Clinton Morrison,on the bench in the 2-2 draw against battling Crewe, could start.

Apart from Thomas and Coyne the Clarets only injury doubt is Bardsley. Burnley boss Steve Cotterill will check on the fitness of defender Phil Bardsley after he hobbled out of the goalless draw at Hull.

One question is whether Steve will continue to play Lafferty alongside Gray in 4-4-2 and what the situation is regarding Ricketts. Has anybody heard anything about Ricketts or have I missed an announcement somewhere?

I suspect Steve Cotterill may keep the team ,he started with against Hull unless Bardsley is still injured. If Bardsley doesnt play, expect to see the same back four that finished the match at the KC with Sinclair at right back, McGreal and Duff in the centre and Harley at left back.

Another question is whether a role will be found for Hyde who was on the bench again last Saturday. I think Steve however will keep him on the bench and see how things go in midfield with hopefully this time Mahon, returning to full form after a mediocre game against Hull

A prediction for this game is difficult and depends to some degree on whether Palace, already assured of reaching the play-offs, are up for this match and whether they will field a full strength side.

I am going for a close Clarets win either way with the lads shading it by one goal
