As reported a few moments ago by Vital Burnley, it has been confirmed that 18-year old Gunner, Mark Randall will be joining the Clarets on loan until the end of the season.

The Arsenal midfielder will be given the Number 10 shirt (as vacated by Andy Gray) and goes straight into the squad against West Brom at the Hawthorns this Saturday.

This deal has probably been progressed after the young gunner played against the Clarets recently in the FA Youth Cup scoring the Gunner’s second goal in a 5-1 drubbing. The young lad must have impressed the Clarets management team and the deal is also probably related to a continuation in the respect that Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger now has for the club after our recent FA Cup Third Round match.

Clarets gaffer, Owen Coyle had this to say about the signing

‘I am delighted to bring such a good young talented player to the football club.

He is a tremendous addition for us and I am sure he will go on to have an outstanding career. I hope we can play a big part in his development.

‘I am pretty sure he will provide some good competition in the midfield area.

‘Mark has been in and around the Arsenal first team and played against Blackburn Rovers in the Carling Cup quarter final.

‘We have been watching him for a while and I would like to pass on my thanks to all at Arsenal FC, particularly Liam Brady, who was so helpful in making this move happen.’

Welcome aboard Mark, so thats three new signings so far in this January transfer window but so far all loans. Does Owen Coyle still have a few more surprises before midnight tonight?
