Following the hectic week last week in which four new Clarets signed in (Paterson, McDonald, Penny and Kalvanes), Owen Coyle has confirmed he wont be putting his feet up in the transfer market.

Speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph he said:

“I haven`t stopped there. There are other players out there who I would like to come to the football club.

“We were looking to strengthen every department. We`ve brought a goalkeeper in, a defender, midfielder and an attacker.

“I`m still looking for another defender, midfielder and striker. But they have to be the right player. I`ve said it before, I won`t be bringing anyone in for the sake of it.”

This will all be encouraging news to Clarets fans bolstered by last weeks’s signings after a few disappointments. The impatience shown by some Clarets (myself included!) now looks to be just that!

“Everything came together in a week, but these things haven`t happened overnight, continued Coyle

“It`s happened over a period of time and I`ve still got another three or four things that I`m working on.

“Hopefully they can come to fruition.”
