On Wednesday evening Burnley confirmed that right back Tendayi Darikwa had now completed a permanent move to Nottingham Forest.

The 25 year old makes the move on a four year deal for an undisclosed fee and he’s actually returning to his hometown club given he was born in Nottingham.

He leaves Turf Moor after two years and the former Chesterfield player exits having made a total of 29 appearances, with the return of one goal following his debut against Leeds United at Elland Road back on the opening day of the 2015/16 season.

Everyone at the club wishes him well for the future and whilst he’d have no doubt hoped for greater game time whilst with us, having played his part in both the promotion campaign and our survival campaign, hopefully he departs with some fond memories.
