Manager Sean Dyche held his pre Stoke City press conference yesterday, and today we get his answers to more questions.

Having covered the injury situation at the club – Click Here – Dyche went on to talk about how he wanted to see improvement in both our home and away form this year, and he was looking for that to start in our trip to the Bet365 Stadium.

‘It`s re-learning, re-evolving and getting used to the Premier League and delivering performances. They`re all the things you have to do to keep getting points on the board and we`re going to have to do that again. We`re definitely going to have to do something better away from home. Our home form has been very good, I think, which is hard when you`re playing some of the clubs we have at home. The away form has not been as good and we have to make sure we change that.’

Our last away trip was to The Hawthorns for a four nil loss to West Bromwich Albion and Dyche was very much hoping that day would be a one off, as he was looking for far better in terms of our performance on the day.

‘We want to make it a blip. We kind of did with that performance the following week against Manchester City. We didn`t get anything but it was, generally, a good performance. Our first marker is to give our performance and we haven`t really done that yet away from home. There have been pockets. There have been spells, but not over a full game and that`s one thing we have definitely got to take the challenge on.’

Going back to Stoke, who sit two points and two places above us in the Premier League table, they have only one defeat in their last eight games, so Dyche knows it’s going to be a tough match – but equally at their ground we have a decent record with only three defeats in eleven matches and in our last Premier League campaign, our first away win of the season came against them.

‘We did get a good result there two years ago and we had to fight for every inch of that one. They threw everything at us as the game wore on. Sometimes that`s what you`ve got to do to get a result. Generally, they are on a good run of form, so it`s another challenge for us. As we`ve seen so far, at home we`ve dealt with the challenge pretty well. Away we haven`t done. Therefore, we have got to be clear minded about what we can do.’
