The Football Association has decided to hand Andre Gray a four match ban following his historic social media activity.

Gray was found guilty at the FA hearing into midconduct charges of six aggravated breaches of FA Rule E2(1) and whilst he admitted three charges, he denied three others – but the FA deemed his guilty nontheless.

The ban is effective immediately, and he was fined £25,000 plus costs and warned of his future conduct. He also had to attend a one to one FA education course.

He will now miss Monday’s clash against Watford, and the games against Arsenal, Everton and Southampton.
