Gift to Spain?

Noel-Williams had a torrid first season in Lancashire after signing in from Stoke on a free transfer; he netted just two goals and ended the season out on loan at Brighton. The close season saw Steve Cotterill place him on the transfer list and despite his agent claiming that several clubs were chasing his signature a move away never developed.

He began the current campaign out of the team but after coming off the bench to grab a second half hat-trick against Barnsley, found himself back in the starting eleven where he has been a regular ever since.

Fans opinions on the big man, who has scored just one goal in his last 16 games, are split. Many rate him highly as a good target-man and foil for his strike-partner. Others do not rate him at all and will be glad of any opportunity for him to depart the club as soon as possible.

Using my translation skills once again, I have discovered that Real Murcia may be ready to offer Gifton that way out. A post on a Murcia messageboard claims that the club are looking to Bring Noel-Williams in to boost their attacking line, comparing him to Chelsea striker Didier Drogba.

We will have to wait and see if this move materialises and if it does, you will hear about it here on Vital Burnley.
