Burnley striker Gifton Noel-Williams is still considering a move to Brighton, but their relegation could be a deterrent as he looks for a new club.
The 26-year-old enjoyed a loan spell with the Seagulls towards the end of last season, earning rave reviews from manager Mark McGhee, as he scored twice in 9 games, but could not save the club from relegation.
Noel-Williams told the Angus: ”I enjoyed my time down at Brighton. If they were in the Championship still it wouldn’t be an issue. But I don’t really want to go into the lower leagues.’
The striker is now surplus to requirements at Turf Moor following the signing of Steve Jones, and was placed on the transfer list at the end of the season. Millwall are also thought to be interested in the former Watford man.
