Burnley’s FA Cup fourth round goalscorers against Bristol City, Sam Vokes and Steven Defour, have both given their thoughts on last weekend’s game.

With Defour wrapping up the tie with his second goal on the day after Vokes had opened the scoring with his 50th club goal, he was interviewed by the Official Site firstly and having been handed the bottle of champagne with the Belgium international taking the official Man of the Match award, he couldn’t have been more delighted with how the day went.

‘It felt pretty good. When I made the control I saw the goalkeeper a bit out of his goal so I thought ‘why not?’ This is a pretty nice goal. I have scored some nice goals but this was really nicely done.’

As for Vokes’ 50th Burnley goal getting us underway in the game, he said himself about Defour’s effort.

‘I was still trying to get up with play at the time! I didn`t even see the chip was on to be honest. I think he was the only man in the ground who saw and what a great finish.’

With five cup goals to him name now as we go into the fifth round draw, the Welsh international went on to say.

‘We have seen some upsets elsewhere today. But we went about our job well and got the win. If we can keep the run going it`s something else to concentrate on and a cup run would be nice. I love the cup. I`ve never really had a run, so it`s one I`m looking forward to, hopefully. If we could get a run it would be great for the club all round.’

Going back to Defour, he said of the draw that hopefully we would have home advantage once more as we eye a cup run this year.

‘In Belgium everybody can watch the FA Cup so it`s an important cup. Everybody wants to play in it and win it. I just like to play at Turf Moor. I think at Turf Moor we can beat anybody.’
