The Clarets play struggling Hull City at Turf Moor this Saturday and could be facing a team with a caretaker manager in charge.

Hull manager,Phil Brown has certainly been under the cosh recently with his team currently third from bottom in 18th spot with just 8 points from 10 games and yet to win away from home.

According to the Mail Online today, Hull City are on the verge of sacking their 50-year-old manager.

The curse of Twitter has also come back to haunt Phil Brown.

Andy Burton, a Sky Sports pundit according to Vital Hull City has revealed on his Twitter page that Phil Brown has left Hull, although there has not yet been any official confirmation. ‘Think Phil Brown has left Hull’ he ‘tweeted’

The irony is that Brown recently fined their American striker Jozy Altidore £40,000 for ‘tweeting’ about his lateness during Saturday`s 0-0 draw with Portsmouth although it was thought that Altidore would feature for Hull in the clash with the Clarets this Saturday

Hull are certainly in the wars at the moment with further news today that they are in deep financial trouble.

Only now have their accounts covering the period for the year ending 31 July 2008 been filed at Companies House. They are therefore five months overdue and in addition they make disturbing reading.

They report a loss of about £10 million and the auditors, Deloitte have warned that the club will need a £23 million surplus in order to meet current liabilities.

So there we have it, a struggling club in financial debt, soon possibly to be without their manager and their demoralised fans baying for blood and demanding changes with relegation from the top flight hanging over them!

Damn why do we have to play the Tigers now?
