Brian Jensen has today signed a new two-year deal with the club. We would now appear to know the fate of the four players offered new deals this summer with only Robbie Blake unable to agree terms. Jensen,Duff and Thompson have now all signed new contracts.

The 35 year old Dane is now our longest serving player having made nearly 300 appearances for the club. Jensen joined Burnley on a free transfer from West Brom in June 2003 and has now been managed by Stan Ternent, Steve Cotterill, Owen Coyle and Brian Laws.

Current gaffer, Brian Laws talking about the Beast’s new deal said:

“We are delighted Brian has agreed to sign the two year deal we offered.

“He is a quality goalkeeper and someone who has served this club very well with distinction.

“He is not only a great servant, but a great ambassador and even at his age, we feel Brian has good years ahead of him.

“We hope to drive him on further this summer because clearly we would like to strengthen in that area.

“It`s something we are trying our hardest to achieve so that Brian has real strong competition, which can only improve his performances for the football club.”
