Clarets fans could get the chance to see three Burnley players in a Young England shirt at Turf Moor next month after it was announced recently that the England Under 21 friendly game against Portugal on Thursday, November 23rd would be played on the ground. Danny Ings and loan signings Nathaniel Chalobah and Michael Keane could all feature.

Chief executive Lee Hoos said:

“We would like to thank The FA for considering Burnley when seeking a host for the England Under 21s` game. It`s a great honour to host this game and wonderful news for the town and the club.”

The friendly will help Gareth Southgate and his squad prepare for next summer`s Euro Championship in June with their opponents Portugal also having qualified for the final stages.

Turf Moor has staged a number of England matches at various levels over the years. The most recent game was an England B game against Albania in 2007. A Stewart Downing brace and a goal from Alan Smith helped achieve a 3-1 win that night.

Adults: £10

Concessions: £5

Family ticket: £20 – 2 adults and 2 children

Group bookings for 15 people or more (no age restrictions and bookable in advance only): £5 adults and £2.50 concessions.
