Keane On Everton & Spurs For Gray?

It was being reported over the weekend that Everton were braced to move for centre half Michael Keane this summer, and that Tottenham Hotspur would be after Andre Gray come the end of the season.

The Mirror (yes I know) reported that as part of the agreement bringing Steve Walsh to the club from Leicester, we had promised not to target any of his targets that were built up at Leicester for 12 months.

That deal expires come the summer and they suggest Everton are now confident of snaring £25million rated Keane from us. They say further that Everton are the only club to register an interest in the newly England capped 24 year old but this just seems a stretch on every direction.

I very much doubt with the way agents work Everton are the only side with tentative feelers out there.

The same outlet also suggest that Tottenham will be looking to offload Vincent Janssen this summer, and the ready made replacement will be Gray.

With 12 months left on his deal at Turf Moor, Gray has obviously found himself admirers this year and more than anything that seems to be the basis for the renewed nonsense this time round.

As a Spurs fan I’d rather we were sniffing around Keane, he has potential and like our own Alderweireld can ping a nice long pass up pitch. But I don’t think we will go looking and to be honest I think he’d be better off at Turf Moor. As for Gray I think Spurs might be looking for a bit more talent, if we’re going to progress then we need comparable or better to what we already have.

Gray is definitely better than Janssen. Happy for no interest in either player. Agreed Keane better off at the Turf than warming the bench at some so called top club who would have little or no interest in his further development. Good luck in Spurs quest for the Prem title.
