Steven Caldwell could link up with his brother Gary for the second time after Sunday media reports today linked him with a move to Wigan. Both Steve and Gary Caldwell were under contract at Newcastle in the earlier part of their careers(between 1998 and 2004) but rarely played together with loan moves keeping them apart.

Our former captain was released by Brian Laws earlier this month with his contract expiring in the summer. He has been stricken with injury this season after suffering with a persistent groin strain for most of 2009/10. The 29 year old Scotland international was given his Clarets swansong in the last few games of the season but in total he only played 13 times for the Clarets during 2009-10.

Some Clarets fans may be surprised that there is interest from Premier League sides. The News of the World today also suggests that newly promoted West Brom could be interested in signing him.
