Sheffield United striker Billy Sharp has been linked with Doncaster, Burnley and Leeds.

It is reported that Doncaster have already had a bid of £600,000 turned down but look likely to put in an.improved offer.

Leeds promoted to the Championship this season are said to be looking very closely at the situation and may be considering a bid.

It is thought Burnley’s interest could be dependent on whether they can manage to retain top striker, Steven Fletcher.

Sharp taling about the interest from other clubs said:

‘I’ve not heard anything from Leeds. I’ve just got back from my holiday but I heard Donny’s offer was turned down. I’ll speak to Sheffield United and we’ll take it from there.’

He does not appear to have mentioned the Clarets interest!

Sharp cost the Blades £1.6m from Scunthorpe in July 2007. The 24 year old actually started his career with Sheffield United in 2002. After a spell on loan with Rushden&Diamonds he was sold to Scunthorpe United for £100,000 in August 2005 before later returning to Bramall Lane.

Doncaster could be favourites to sign the striker.Last summer on transfer deadline day Sharp signed for Doncaster on a season-long loan.

Meanwhile, Wade Elliott has been linked with a £3 million move to Upton Park.West Ham are currently without a manager although Avram Grant is expected to take over but they are are apparently interested in signing the 30 year old and hope that the chance to taste more of the Premier League football could entice him away. Elliott is on record though as saying he would like to see out his career with the Clarets.
