Sky Sports are reporting that they undertsand Burnley boss Sean Dyche is in the frame for the vacant manager’s position at Nottingham Forest following the departure of Alex McLeish. McLeish left the club by mutual consent after being gaffer for just 40 days at the City Ground.

Dyche was a former Forest youth team player and is thought to be highly rated after impressing at both Burnley and his previous club, Watford.

The 41-year-old only took over at Burnley at the end of October, replacing Eddie Howe at the helm. He has become a fans’ favourite notching up 17 points from 13 matches whilst guiding the team up to seventh spot just four points off the play-offs.

Sky Sports are full of Dyche epithets and they say, quote:

‘Dyche is regarded as one of the most innovative young managers in the country and Forest’s owners see him as the ideal man to take the club forward’

Well if that’s the case we better keep hold of him!! Owen Coyle is free Forest?
