The Sunday papers today suggest Owen Coyle could be interested in bringing hot-shot Swansea City striker, Jason Scotland to Turf Moor in the summer transfer window.

The 30 year old Trinidad & Tobago International signed from St Johnstone for just £25,000 in July 2007 and has scored 53 goals for the Swans in 102 appearances. He has taken the Championship by storm this season in Swansea’s promotion year from League 1 scoring 21 goals.

Owen Coyle of course is no stranger to the player having managed him at St Johnstone but he will face tough competition from a number of Premier League clubs in order to sign him.

Fulham are reportedly prepared to offer £2.5 million for the player.Roy Hodgson has been keeping tabs on the player since February and the Cottagers gaffer will well remember Scotland scoring two against Fulham in the FA Cup in January this year.

Middlesbrough have also been linked with a move for the Trinidad & Tobago frontman

If the rumour has any legs whatsover, the chances of Owen Coyle signing the player could be greatly enhanced if we gain promotion to the top flight.
