Championship rivals Plymouth, Stoke and Burnley are rumoured to be interested in Neil Lennon according to Sky Sports

Nottingham Forest are understood to have told the 36-year old midfielder that he is free to leave the club.

He joined Manchester City as a trainee in 1989 from Irish club Glenavon F.C. Lennon then played for Crewe and Leicester City, before moving to Celtic, in 2000 becoming their captain in 2005.

The Northern Ireland international arrived at the City Ground from Celtic during the Summer of 2007 signing a one year deal but he has since struggled to establish a first team place.

He has only started four times over the last two months.

The player is keen to move on despite Forest gaffer Colin Calderwood being reluctant to part with one of his most experienced players as the League One side mount a challenge for promotion to the Championship.
