Burnley are believed to be interested in Peterborough United midfielder Paul Coutts according to the Daily Mail Today

The 21-year-old Scot only became a professional 18 months ago but already has three Scottish Under 21 caps.

He was originally a trainee with Aberdeen before joining Highland League side Cove Rangers.Couuts signed for Peterborough United on a three-year deal in July 2008 after impressing during a trial period with the club.

It is understood that Wolves,Newcastle and West Brom may also be considering an offer.

The link to Burnley if true is now bound to be up in the air until the mannagerial situation is resolved. Presumably this was one of Owen Coyle’s targets if there is any truth in the link so he might just as likely end up at Bolton.
