The rumours continue with the January transfer window now well and truly open. The latest to be linked with a move to Turf Moor is Crystal Palace winger Jason Puncheon although according to the Daily Mirror a possible reunion with former Palace boss Tony Pulis at the Hawthorns also looks possible.

The 28 year old is a versatile winger being able to play on either the right or left wing but it begs the question whether Burnley would need another flanker with Boyd, Arfield, Wallace and Kightly already on the books? He does though sometimes play behind the striker so could give Sean Dyche options if injuries and suspensions kick-in.

Puncheon started his career with Wimbledon and moved with the team to Milton Keynes after the controversial MK Dons franchise in 2004. Spells at Fisher Athletic, Lewes and Barnet followed before joining Plymouth Athletic in 2008. It was an unsuccessful 18 month spell and during his time on Plymouth`s books was sent on loan three times to former club, MK Dons. In January 2010, Puncheon joined Southampton but once again spent a lot of time out on loan including spells at Millwall, Blackpool, QPR and Crystal Palace. Puncheon signed a year-long loan deal with Palace in August 2013 and in August 2014 made the move permanent for a fee of around £1.75m.
