Sean Dyche would appear to be in the market for Derby County duo Richard Keogh and Craig Bryson according to the Daily Mirror. The infamous Alan Nixon was already stoking the rumour mill fire using social media this weekend before the speculation became official in the paper.

The newly promoted Clarets could be in prime position to sign the pair too in light of Derby`s failure to beat QPR in the Championship Play-Offs final last month ensuring they will be plying their trade once again in the second tier next season.

It is not the first time this close season we have been linked with both individual players but this is the first time a move for the pair together has been suggested. Burnley are looking to prepare a starting bid of £2.5 million for the duo according to speculation but it is also rumoured that they are willing to offer up to £5 million for the pair.

Republic of Ireland international defender Richard Keogh moved to Derby from Coventry in July 2012 for £1 million after securing a three-year deal. The 27 year-old has since notched up 96 appearances for the Rams also scoring six goals during his time at the club. Clarets fans may well remember the bizarre situation, nine years ago when it looked like Keogh had signed for Burnley and indeed was spotted training with the lads at Gawthorpe. He had been released by Stoke City and it was even reported that Steve Cotterill had signed him only for the move to be cancelled on the following day. It was suggested at the time that Keogh had turned down the deal at the last moment to join Bristol City Whilst at Bristol City Keogh had loan spells at Huddersfield, Carlisle and Cheltenham. In August 2008, Keogh returned to Carlisle United this time on a permanent basis after signing for an undisclosed fee. He then signed a three-year deal with Coventry City in June 2010 before finishing up at Derby.

27-year old Scotland international midfielder Craig Bryson (pictured above)moved to Derby from SPFL side Kilmarnock in June 2012 for £500,000 and has since made 134 appearances for the club scoring 27 times so far.
