Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins has told the club`s official website:

“Burnley have made an approach for Jason Scotland but our valuation for a player who has finished as our top scorer over the last two seasons is miles apart, we value Jason very highly – after all he has scored 53 goals in the last two seasons for us.I think everyone in football is well aware now that we do not need to sell anyone. And we certainly won`t let any player go for below what we think they are worth – whether that`s Jason Scotland or anyone else for that matter.”

The Clarets are understood to have made a seven-figure bid about the £1 million mark.
