Clarets gaffer, Owen Coyle has been up to his native Scotland recently scouting for talent but also reveals today in a local paper that Chief Scout, Cliff Roberts is also seeing quite a bit of Continental Europe in the club`s search for new players.

Speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph he had this to say about his quest for new talent:

‘At any time you’ve got to target the best players possible to come to the football club, regardless of what status you’re at,

‘You just have to get the very best players who you think will be befitting of Burnley, and that’s what we’re trying to do every day.

‘I’ve been taking in games all the time, as my staff are doing.

‘I’ve had Cliff all over Europe and we’ll actively continue in that search, and if we see the right player, one that we think when he puts that Burnley shirt on he will do”
