The Clarets have added another pre-season friendly to their schedule and they will now play two games on homesoil against foreign opposition It had already been announced that will the Clarets will play Spanish side, Celta Vigo on Tuesday 5th August but on the following Saturday, four days later they will now be up against Italian opposition with Hellas Verona the visitors to Turf Moor. The match will kick-off at 3pm and will bring the Clarets pre-season friendly schedule to a close ahead of their opening game in the Premier League against Chelsea at home on Monday 18th August..

Verona, affectionately known as ‘Gialloblu` (the Yellow-Blues) were founded in 1903, and finished the 2013/14 campaign in 10th place in Serie A. The club`s full name is Hellas Verona and their most successful campaign came in 1984-85 when they finished four points ahead of Torino to claim the title. Their most recognised player currently is former Fiorentina, Bayern Munich and Juventus striker Luca Toni, who has 47 caps for Italy and played in the 2006 World Cup Final win against France.
