Third Time Lucky With Cork?

Burnley could bring Jack Cork back to Turf Moor for a third spell.

The Swansea midfielder has previously been loaned to Burnley twice when a Chelsea player earlier in his career and could now join the Clarets on a permanent basis.

Sky Sports has reported Sean Dyche has targeted the former England U21 international and the club ‘are in talks’ over a deal, which could involve a fee as much as £10m.

Dyche last week completed the signings of Charlie Taylor from Leeds and Stoke’s experienced forward Jonathan Walters – Sky also reminded us of reported interest in Nottingham Forest’s Britt Assombalonga.

Having enjoyed successful loans at Burnley the club weren’t able to sign Cork, 28, as the midfielder ended up at Southampton before transferring to the Liberty Stadium in 2015.
