Burnley’s transfer deadline should – you can never say never – involved players arriving as opposed to them leaving Turf Moor. Well, we’ll hope this proves to be the case!

The Lancashire Telegraph is reporting Burnley remain hopeful of securing deals for Hull’s Andrew Robertson and Norwich’s Robbie Brady before the 11pm deadline.

The Clarets are chasing a striker too before the end of the day by all accounts but there wasn’t any mention of who this player Sean Dyche would be looking to sign could be.

Robertson’s proposed arrival would reportedly see Burnley part with £10m for the Scottish International. This report said such an offer would be accepted by Hull but they want to bring in cover before allowing the 22 year old to complete a deal.

Interest in Brady has rumble on for weeks with the Clarets in ‘pole position’ to sign the Republic of Ireland international with Norwich’s signing of Ajax left back Mitchell Dijks on loan freeing him to leave.

Two players did leave Burnley on Monday though with 21 year old striker Chris Long heading out on loan to join Bolton – after his previous loan with Fleetwood ended – until the end of the season.

Long was due to spend the season with Fleetwood but that spell was ended with the former Everton youngster linking up with fellow League 1 promotion chasers Bolton.

Josh Ginnelly has also been loaned out with the winger linking up with FA Cup giant killers Lincoln.

The 19 year old – yet to make his first team debut for the Clarets – has already spent a spell with Walsall in League 1 this season where he made 14 appearances.
