Owen Coyle has confirmed that he has given David Unsworth more time to think about the offer of a player/coach at Turf Moor.

According to the Official Site,the former Everton and England 34-year old defender will now make his decision during the next two weeks.

Coyle had let it be known he wanted both Unsworth and James O’Connor to make a decision on their offers over the Bank Holiday weekend but he seems to have had a change of heart over Unsworth.

He withdrew the offer for O’Connor as we know after learning that the player had other irons in the fire. The midfielder now looks set to join the Owls with Laws signing him ahead of Championship rivals, Southampton,Coventry, Blackpool and Forest. Recently relegated Leicester are also reported to be interested
