Burnley threatened a lead through club record signing Gray but his effort was saved by MK Dons ‘keeper Martin.

The Clarets through Vokes (32), with an effort that Martin, or any other ‘keeper for that matter, couldn’t keep out had Burnley ahead just past the half hour mark.

In first half injury time Baker (45) headed MK Dons level though! Carruthers cross into the area with Baker heading past Heaton.

Within minutes of the second half restart through Boyd (49) scored another fine goal when he volleyed past Martin from a Gray cross.

A third goal would have made sure, with Martin keeping out more efforts, but the two was enough to earn Burnley another win with momentum really growing.
