Burnley’s Championship season continued with a draw at Molineux against Burnley on Saturday.

What was it I said, when mentioning the lack of draws between the sides since the last one in 1976 – saying I had probably ‘jinxed it’ – and sure enough I did as a first draw in 15-matches was played out in this nil-nil draw.

Only Wolves ‘keeper Martinez prevented Burnley from going ahead, and denying top goalscorer Gray twice.

Heaton was also called upon though with Afobe denied when the Burnley ‘keeper turned the strikers effort over the bar and also saved from Henry.

Wolves were forced into a chance in the second half with Martinez forced off, being replaced by ‘keeper Ikeme but he couldn’t be beaten with the home side having the chances to secure the points.

Afobe wasn’t able to hit the target with another two second half chance as he shot one effort just wide and headed wide another with winger Henry also curling an effort wide with Boyd going closest for Burnley.
