It’s being reported that Burnley forward Jonathan Walters could now be out injured until at least Christmas.

The Republic of Ireland international has been hit with a recurring knee problem and he will now miss November’s World Cup qualifying play off games.

The 34 year old is undergoing rehabilitation work at Burnley ahead of a return to action and he did of course last appear for Burnley back in the middle of August in the game against Blackburn Rovers.

The former Stoke City man has had clean up operations on his twice in the last 18 months, back in March 2016 and January of this year.

Sky Sports were one of many to report the news yesterday and no doubt manager Sean Dyche will cover the news in his pre game press conference in the next couple of days.
