Burnley boss Steve Cotterill revealed his disappointment at the point gained at Loftus Road, believing the game should have been wrapped up by half time.

Chris McCann gave the Clarets the perfect start with a superb individual goal in the tenth minute, before dominating a first half, getting the best out of Rangers’ keeper Simon Royce.

QPR levelled the match in first half injury time, but the Clarets manager felt that Burnley should have been in a more commanding postition.

‘I thought we should have been four up at half time,’ said Cotterill told the offical website.

‘Their goalkeeper has made three outstanding saves in the first half after we’d scored and two of them were special saves.

‘If they go in, it’s game over.’

Burnley’s next match is the FA Cup third round tie, where they visit Derby County.
