Burnley have had a bad run recently after losing 6 out of the last 7 games and have just the one point from the Stoke City match at Turf Moor. The Clarets are now in the relegation zone but I believe there is some light at the end of the tunnel.

Our men are fighting if the Wigan match is anything to go by and if the Clarets can beat Rovers on Sunday then it will be one step closer to safety.

Graham Alexander insists that if the players stay united they can beat Rovers and the acting club captain goes on to say that they are determined to prove that they`re not putting their heads in the sand and that they are training hard.

‘We are not putting our heads in the sand,’ he told the club’s official website.

‘We know we have got to pull out results and wins to achieve what we want to do. But talking to the lads and listening to the lads we are confident we can do it.

‘We are banging on the door at the moment but we’ve got to kick it through. We can’t keep saying it’s bad luck, or whatever. The games are there for us to win.

‘Through whatever scenario, we are not doing that at the moment, but the belief is still there and the will is definitely still there.

‘We all want to stay in this division and be successful in doing that and the lads are confident we can do it.

Grezza continuing says:

‘`The lads are sticking together and come Sunday you will see a performance and an attitude from the lads that will prove that right“

Alexander is also hoping that the fans will drive the mentality of the players and be a driving force during Sunday`s derby.

‘`If the fans stick with us and be patient and give us their vocal backing, which is fantastic at Turf Moor when they do that, we will have enough to beat Blackburn on the pitch“

With seven games left the Clarets fate is in their own hands but the fans can certainly help them achieve survival by raising the roof and not booing the manager and players if things start going badly.

Come on You Clarets!
