Bryan Robson has left West Brom by mutual consent and already the speculation is mounting about his potential replacement.

Alan Curbishley was understood to be the favourite although it is now believed he is looking at other, one assumes more potentially lucrative opportunities.

The Sun even suggests today that our own Steve Cotterill is now the front runner and goes onto say in relation to Albion chairman, Jeremy Peace:

‘The Baggies supremo is known to be a big fan of Burnley chief Cotterill’

Steve also gets another mention in the Guardian in a long-list of suggested candidates that also include Southend’s Steve Tilson, Luton’s Mike Newell and Tony Mowbray at Hibernian.

Oh dear, here we go again causing instability just as the team has begun to hit some form. Some were calling for Steve Cotterill’s head after the Hartlepool and Colchester debacles, but lets hope we dont now lose the manager at this crucial stage of the season.
