FA Cup Winners, Portsmouth have signed winger Glen Little on a one-year deal from Reading.

Little has continued to suffer from injuries and made just two appearances as a substitute last season for the Royals.

A troublesome Achilles injury keeping him out of Steve Coppell’s side in a bad season for the Royals that saw them relegated back to the Championship.

Steve Coppell wanted to retain his services at the Madejski Stadium but Little rejected the club’s offer of a new contract.

So Little, injury permitting will now hope to play in the Premier League again next season with today’s news that he has agreed terms with Portsmouth. At 32 however, his appearances could be limited in the Top Flight but then again he might now be able to attain his dream of playing in Europe

‘We offered Glen a new contract, but it appears that the lure of the Premier League and European football proved too strong.’ said Reading director of football Nick Hammond on the Reading’s official website

Good luck,Glen, many Clarets fans would have liked to see you return to Turf Moor! After eight years at Burnley, Little left on a Bosman transfer to sign for Reading in the summer of 2004 following a loan spell the year before
