Hull City winger Cameron Stewart has returned to his parent club, after completing a four month loan at Burnley

Burnley signed the 21 years old on loan at the end of August 2012 and he went straight into the first team starting eleven just 24 hours after he arrived making his debut at home to Brighton on the 1st September. The Clarets sadly lost that game 3-1 and he would make just one further start in the 2-1 defeat against Leicester in the King Power Stadium later that month. He also made seven substutute appearances but he did not feature at all under Sean Dyche. His last game was against Cardiff City away when he came on from the bench in the 78th minute. The 4-0 defeat was the last game, caretaker manager, Terry Pashley was in charge and since that time under Sean Dyche he has only been named sparingly on the bench without seeing any further action. It has been known for sometime that the club would not be extending his contract, one of the reasons being the arrival of new winger, Dane Richards. Richards already trained with the lads late last year and officially signed for the club on the 1st January when the transfer window opened. He could be involved in the FA Cup third round tie against Barnsley at Oakwell this Saturday if his international clearance is rubber-stamped in time.

The 29 year old Jamaican international is a former New York Red Bulls player who signed for Vancouver Whitecaps FC in July 2012.

Meanwhile another, Clarets winger, George Porter was sent out on a youth loan for the rest of the season to League 1 Colchester United this week and he came off the bench to make his U`s debut on New Year`s Day in the 3-0 defeat away to Crawley.

The January window is not expected to be an hectic one for Burnley with the top priority being to hold onto Charlie Austin.

Meanwhile a number of our players are back at Turf Moor after completing loans. Goalkeeper Jon Stewart has returned from Alfreton Town while Joe Jackson and Tom Anderson will complete their loan spells at AFC Barrow this coming weekend. Alex MacDonald came back from Plymouth last month. Alex Coleman and Adam Evans also returned from Droylsden.
