We are now taking a break until Easter with the Internationals back in full swing again including some World Cup qualifiers. Some of the Clarets though will be on international duty and we provide a summary.

Martin Paterson

Pato is back on International duty for Northern Ireland after his self-imposed exile. He will now be included in the Northern Ireland squad for next week`s World Cup qualifiers. Paterson, who took the decision to withdraw from the Ireland set-up last October following a series of injury setbacks, goes straight back into Michael O`Neill`s squad for the forthcoming qualifiers against Russia on Friday March 22 and Israel on Tuesday March 26 in Belfast.

Danny Lafferty

Joining Pato for the same Northern Ireland World Cup qualifiers will be left-back Danny Lafferty.

Sam Vokes

Striker Sam Vokes is in the Wales squad for their two World Cup qualifiers away to Scotland on Friday 22nd March and at home to Croatia on Tuesday 26th March.

Dane Richards

Winger Dane Richards could also be in action for the Reggae Boyz after making the Jamaican squad for their two qualifiers at home to Panama and then away to Costa Rica on the same Friday and Tuesday March dates respectively.

David Edgar

Defender David Edgar is also included in Canada`s travelling party to Doha in Qatar for two international friendlies against Japan (on Friday 22nd March) and Belarus(on Tuesday 26th March).

Alex Kacaniklicb

Our on-loan Fulham midfielder Alex Kacaniklic could also feature for Sweden in their World Cup games at home to the Republic of Ireland (Friday 22nd March), followed by a trip to Slovenia (Tuesday 26th March).

The Young Guns!

Also on international duty are teenagers Luke Gallagher, who joins an FAI training camp in Gibraltar, and Northern Ireland U17 pair Cameron Dummigan and Conor Mitchell, who face Holland and Norway in their U17 tournament.
