32-year-old Hull City striker and Gabon international, Daniel Cousin appears to have confirmed that he will be moving to Burnley for the whole of the 2009-10 season.

Cousin is currently out with the Gabon squad as they prepare for their two World Cup qualifiers against Cameroon during the International break. Speaking to the French press he is quoted as saying:

‘My agent informed me a few days ago that the promoted team was interested. And I immediately said yes. This is a new challenge for me. I am happy to sign with Burnley. I really want to play and the manager seem to trust me. At Hull City, I felt that many things that happened were bizarre and illogical.’

There is still no official confirmation from Burnley FC that he has signed but it is understood they want to complete the deal before the transfer window closes at 5pm today.

If he does sign, it is interesting to note that he will probably be up against his new Clarets colleague, Andre Bikey in the World Cup qualifiers against Cameroon.
