Burnley may be out of the FA Cup by falling at the first hurdle after going down narrowly 4-3 to Premier league, Southampton at St Mary’s yesterday but Bolton managed to beat Blackpool 2-1 in their third round tie. Why does that matter you might be asking yourselves?
Well it automatically means we have another fixture change.
Due to Bolton’s participation in the FA Cup fourth round, our Championship fixture against them on January 25, 2014, will now have to be rescheduled. The fourth round ties are all being played over that weekend.
The Clarets were due to travel to the Reebok Stadium at the end of the month but due to the FA Cup taking priority over league fixtures in the football calendar, the game will now be put back and will probably be played during the week.
