Burnley striker Gifton Noel-Williams is reportedly wanted by Millwall and Brighton, as the relegated pair try to strengthen their sides for next season.

Noel-Williams, who finished the season with a loan spell at Brigton, is also at the head of new Millwall manager Nigel Spackman’s list, as he looks to build a side to bounce straight back to the Championship at the first attempt.

Noel-Williams was one of four players placed on the transfer list by Clarets boss Steve Cotterill at the end of the season, but it is thought that the two clubs would prefer to have the player on loan for the 06/07 season.

Whether Burnley would accept this is open to debate, as Cotterill looks to strengthen his own squad for next season.

The big striker struggled in his first season at Turf Moor, scoring just two goals in 17 starts, with a further 12 substitute appearances.
