Happy New Year everybody! Well folks it’s now 2015, the January transfer window is soon open (Sat 3rd Jan) and Burnley are hanging in there trying to avoid the drop! What will the New Year bring? Well let’s hope the word ‘survival’ is on our lips come the end of the season. Meanwhile today we travel to St James Park for our New Year’s Day clash against Newcastle United. How good would a win be there and what a start that would be to 2015.

In terms of the site, I am proud of our readership stats, I was advised recently by Vital HQ that we have the 12th highest readership of all the Vital sites and we are amonsgt some illustious clubs including most of the ‘big name’ Premier League clubs so thank you for your support over the years.

We have to compete these days with the likes of Twitter, Facebook and other social media and independent sites covering the Clarets so to have such a high readership figure is very encouraging.

Your editor though would like to get the intereactivity up in the New Year with more posts in the forum and more comments beneath our articles. For some reason this tailed off a bit last year and we don’t know the exact reason why! If you think you know why or have any ideas to improve the site or would like to suggest new ideas of your own please let me know. I am also looking for more co-editors/journalists to write articles for the site. So if you would like to put your thoughts on the Clarets in virtual ink then let me know and we will consider your articles for publication on the site.

Once again Happy New Year and let’s make 2015 a year to remember in the world of Burnley FC!
