There have been some disturbing rumours recently concerning health problems related to Chris McCann
Burnley forums have been speculating about McCann heavily this week and indeed Vital Burnley had already taken down certain threads in the forum waiting for the true situation to be clarified.
The club have now made a statement to this effect which reads as follows:
‘Burnley Football Club can confirm that Chris McCann recently underwent a head operation to remove excess fluid following complaints of repeated migraines,
‘The minor operation involving one overnight stay in hospital was successful and the Irish midfielder (23) is now back to full health and expected to return to full training within two weeks.
‘ Burnley Football Club manager,Eddie Howe said:
‘ I wish Chris a very speedy recovery and I am pleased he is not far away now from returning to full training’ ‘
The club have also made it plain there will be no further comment on this matter and I would respectfully request all our posters refrain from doing so also to avoid re-hashing all the rumours again.
Let’s simply wish Chris well in what is turning out to be an awful year for the lad. Get well soon, Chris and let’s hope we soon see you back where you belong-in our first team midfield!
