Clarets fans have received an early Christmas present this time round following our 2-1 win over Blackpool at Turf Moor on Saturday. That victory ensured Burnley will be top of the Championship table on Christmas Day, so let’s hope the Christmas spirit continues and we can still be top come the New Year! Vital Burnley will still be here bringing you match previews and match reports for our vital last two games of 2013 away to Middlebrough on Boxing Day and Wigan the following Saturday.
The omens are good when you look at the ten-year trend of those clubs top of the Championship at Christmas. Most of them got promoted as Champions!
