Clarets defender, Joseph Mills who joined Oldham Athletic on an emergency loan basis in August and has played in all five games for the Latics while at Boundary Park will have his loan contract extended until October 13th.

Mills, 23, initially joined Burnley on a season-long loan from Reading in the summer of 2012 and was one of Eddie Howe’s signings but failed to convince new gaffer, Sean Dyche he was a good enough player for the Clarets. He would probably have been allowed to return to Reading had it not been for a clause in his contract.

In his first season at Turf Moor the left back made just 12 appearances before the loan automatically became a permanent two-year deal this summer.
