The Official Site seem bullish about Burnley’s chances of extending David Nugent’s loan until the end of the season.
Burnley have formally triggered a loan extension for the Portsmouth striker and are now just awaiting the rubber-stamp from the finacially-stricken Hampshire club.
Brian Laws confirmed the situation on the Official Site saying:
‘We have exercised our option to extend his loan through for the rest of the season
We are now just waiting for Portsmouth to get back to us to get it clarified and sorted for the weekend,
‘We are just waiting for their reply and paperwork and I am assuming that’s going to go ahead.’
Laws is keen to have Nugent available for the clash at Turf Moor this Saturday against high-flying Chelsea
