Keeper, Diego Penny who made just four appearances for the Clarets over the two years since Owen Coyle signed him in June 2008 has had his contract terminated by mutual consent. The 26 year old’s contract still had a just under a year to go but Brian Laws was brutally honest recently stating that the Peruvian international keeper was not where they wanted him to be at this stage. With the arrival recently also of Lee Grant his departure comes as no surprise.
Diego has returned to his homeland of Peru and will now try and resurrect his career over there.
